A JOURNEY INSIDE THE ARCHAEOLOGIAL MINES PARK OF SAN SILVESTRO
An educational and funny journey, especially for children!! The routes for visiting encompass museums, mining tunnels, a Medieval village of miners and foundrymen founded around one thousand years ago and paths of historical, archaeological, geological and naturalistic interest. From here the visit to the Park begins: an expert guide accompanies visitors in the Temperino- Lanzi Mine, where aboard a train, the journey of the minerals is retraced, from the mine of the Temperino Valley to the production installations of the Lanzi Valley. Alighting from the train, the visitors overlook the installations which, made for the flotation of minerals, were re-converted into installations for the crushing of the limestone. The remains of Rocca San Silvestro, which stand majestically on the background of this valley, represent the heart of the Park.

WATER PARK ACQUA VILLAGE
The Acqua Village Follonica, located in Follonica, nearby Grosseto, is really great for the fans of water amusements of all ages! The structure of Acqua Village of Follonica is made up of dozens attractions. Inaugurated in the year 2001, Gallorose Park has become a faunistic center, but it still remains a farm where farm animals are breeded and where you can see a hundred animals in the equipped and signed journey on its inside. Some examples: the “livornese” hen, the zebra, cinta senese, cobi, ara parrots, ostriches, camels and many other exotic and domestic animals. The park is also a center for the development and the maintaining of the Tuscan native race; Here you can see buffalos of Maremma that in ancient times lived in these areas, the pisan cow, the cock of Mugello and yard duck.

CENTRE CARAPAX
Place: Venelle – Massa Marittima (GR)
Unique structure in Italy for scientific research, the recovery, the reproduction and reintroduction of turtles, both italian and exotic. The Center Carapax hosts not only a thousand turtles coming from all over the world, but also a colony of white storks, now became extinct in Italy, as regards a project to recovery the migration way of these race from Europe to Africa. The center is open to the public and it also has a game park equipped for children and a teaching area. The best periods to visit the centre are Spring and Autumn.
